Abstract

Subject of article is the legal mentality in its conceptual and cultural measurement. In work, various aspects of national legal mentality are discussed: substantial and structural, methodological, culturological, religious, functional, etc. The methodological basis of the scientific article includes developments in the field of political science, philosophies and methodologies of jurisprudence belonging to domestic and foreign experts.

In article the combination general, general scientific (the dialectic, logical and structurally functional analysis and synthesis, intellectual and technological and mental measurement, genetic reconstruction, etc.) and special methods of a research takes place (comparative and legal, historical and legal, etc.).

In contents of article not only the nature and features domestic legal (more widely, political and legal) mentalities is analyzed, but the place and value of the last in the Russian state and legal space is shown. At the same time methodological reasoning’s of authors refract through a prism of few Old Belief political and legal ideas studied in modern jurisprudence which spiritual component is extremely interesting and in many respects indicative for studying of such perspectives relevant for today as: legal mentality, political mentality, legal consciousness, legal culture of a transition period of development of the state and right.
